We do all possible to avoid complaints, but we think it worthwhile bringing
to your attention a specific clause from our Conditions of Hire. “The
Hirer is required to notify the Marina Manager of any alleged shortcomings
or problems with the cruiser immediately they occur when a reasonable opportunity
must be given to the Company to investigate and put right any faults found”.
If the client feels that their complaint has not been addressed during their
holiday, they must complete a Customer Comments form which will be passed directly
to senior management, only complaints received in this way can be investigated
and dealt with as appropriate.
The direction of one-way cruises will not be confirmed until 14 days prior
to departure. Clients preferred start base cannot always be guaranteed. There
is a supplement of €80 for a one-way cruise, payable at time
of booking. Clients who have arrived with their own car may avail of a local
taxi for transfer back to their car (at an extra charge payable locally). Carrickcraft
will make the arrangements for this and the clients will pay the taxi directly.
Rates for scheduled transfers are listed on our Tariff Sheet and are non-commissionable.
Transfers are payable to agent at the time of booking. Our scheduled transfer
rates are for passengers travelling on group transfers on our scheduled coaches
on Saturdays only. Our transfers for incoming clients are from 12 noon
to 6pm. Our transfers for departing clients are from 7am to
11am. Passengers travelling outside these times and days can be accommodated
at the cost of private transfers by taxi or minibus.
In the absence of transfer information we will assume that you have organised
the transfer yourself or that the client is arriving by his own independent
means. Likewise, we cannot guarantee that transfers will be provided if you
do not provide us with all the relevant flight details.
Transfers are only available from airports (listed in our tariff) to Marinas
and vice versa; no Hotel or City pick-ups are possible.
Please go to the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall at the relevant airport
and ask for the Carrickcraft or Shannon/Erne driver. If the clients are already
in Ireland, they should be advised to phone the appropriate marina three days
before their arrival for the exact time of their transfer. Please forward the
relevant telephone and fax numbers to clients.
Even
if transfers are not required we need to know the approximate
arrival time of the at the marina, as boats are prepared
for hirer to coincide as far as possible with their arrival
times. If we are not informed of the hirer's approximate
arrival time, this will be assumed to be after 4pm.
Carrickcraft has produced a very
special publication in English/German,
incorporating the Captain’s
Handbook and a route planner of the
entire Waterway from Killaloe, the
most southern navigation point on
the Shannon to Belleek at the
top of the Erne system. Stocks of these Handbooks, matching your 2004 bookings,
will be sent to you in good time for the beginning of the season and a copy
of this book should be sent to all Carrickcraft clients with their final documentation.
We will assume that in booking our craft you have complied with this request.
If the clients arrive without their copy we regret that we will have to make
a charge of €10.00 for a replacement copy. You may not supply
our Handbook to clients booked with other Companies, they are for the exclusive
use of Carrickcraft customers.
Grocery Lists will be supplied to you on request and you should advise your
clients to complete these and fax them directly to the Marina from which their
hire starts at least 14 days prior to arrival. It is a good idea for the clients
to keep a copy of their grocery list (if it is lost in transit, the copy list
can be quickly processed at the Marina).
Clients can take over their cruiser between 4pm and 7pm on Saturday
starts; on Wednesday starts, the client should be advised to report
to the marina by 2pm. Please note that it takes approximately
2 hours to be given the necessary classroom instruction and on-board demonstration.
All cruisers must be handed back clean and with a full tank of diesel before 9am on
the last day of hire. In order that there is enough time to refuel and check
out, we ask that the cruiser be returned to the marina before 5pm the
day before. If clients have booked transfers, they must be at the marina before
the office closes to find out the time of the bus departure. Transfer times
may change and have no bearing on flight times.

of the

their pet to Ireland.

of the boat prior to departure. If the boat is not cleaned, there will
be a charge for this service as follows:
Kerry and Carlow €50.00 , Mayo and Wexford €60.00 ,
Kilkenny and Clare €70.00 , Waterford €80.00
Toilet tanks need to be pumped out approximately
once during the week (depending on usage) and also at
checkout.
The hirer is responsible for any pump-outs required mid-hire.In the event of
a public sewage pump out facility being unavailable or out of order it may
be possible to temporarily switch the diverter valve. Call our office for advice.

apply if required to attend after hours.

The

is set out in the appropriate Conditions
of Hire. Clients booking directly with
the company will receive a copy with
their Hire Invoice. Clients booking with
a Travel Agency may get a copy from that
Agency or direct from the Company if
they so wish. Copies are prominently
displayed at each Marina Hire Base. These
Conditions of Hire apply to all hirers
no matter whether booked through a Travel
Agent or directly with the Company. No
agent of the Company is able to vary
or alter them in any way.
The
insurance we provide, covers you for
all damage or loss to your cruiser as
set out in our Conditions of Hire. It
also covers you for Third Party risks
(i.e. damage or injury to third parties
or their property). It does not however
cover you, your crew or any other person
on board for Personal Accident or for
loss or damage to your own property.
Amendments made to bookings once confirmed and entered in our system will incur
an administration fee of 25.00 This includes amendments to name of
clients travelling, date of holiday and type of cruiser.
